For job hunters, Job Spyder is a place to post your resume online. For recruiters and hiring managers it is place for search resumes at no cost.
Job Spyder was created to help bring people and jobs together by providing a place for candidates to post their resume and to make them available to recruiters and hiring managers looking for talent. We are also hoping to get into major search engines. While we have no control of the search engines, we do submit sitemaps the to major search engines and we try to structure our pages, including resume pages, so that they will be easy to index; SEO. We are always looking to improve our SEO.
How is Job Spyder different from LinkedIn and Indeed? In both cases, LinkedIn and Indeed charge recruiters a fee to access resumes. In Linked In’s cases it is not a small amount to access profiles outside of your immediate network. Linked In’s recruiting products are not cheap and may be cost prohibitive for some organizations.
The one thing Job Spyder is not is a social media site. Maybe one day that will change but that is not the focus of this site. One day we may want to offer networking features, but we would want to be employment focused.
It’s free. While we may choose to offer premium content in the future, the original level of service will always be free. We hope to pay for the site through advertisement, but if that is insufficient to pay the bills the may be a small fee for some premium features that might be offered in the future.
