RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

RESEARCH

Sedimentation in the Icy Bay Fjord System May 2018– May 2019

Collaborated with a team of 3 PhD and undergraduate students to analyze high-resolution seismic data to characterize sediment facies in Icy Bay and understand sediment transport in an environment of rapid sedimentation due to glacial erosion.

  • Processed raw seismic data
  • Interpreted sediment facies from the data
  • Presented my results at the 2018 AGU Meeting in Washington DC.

NASA L’SPACE Virtual Academy August 2018 -December 2018

Collaborated with a team of 8 students from all over the country together with NASA scientists working on the ongoing Lucy Mission to create a preliminary design of a mission to Mars aimed at collecting scientific data.

Topping off the cap stone December 2017 – May 2018

I was responsible for determining the age and point of origin of rock samples collected from Wyoming province and Southwest Montana. Ensured the accuracy and validity of my results by collaborating with six undergraduate students who worked on different rock samples from the same region.

  • Extracted zircons from the sample
  • Performed mass spectrometry analysis on the zircons and interpreted the results
